Top 5 Sitcoms of All Time (IMO)
By Jaes
Everybody’s got that one sitcom they can rewatch a hundred times and still laugh like it’s the first. For me, these five shows didn’t just entertain — they stuck. The writing, the characters, the vibe… elite. Here’s my personal Top 5 sitcoms of all time:
1. Two and a Half Men (2003 — 2015)
Before it got wild behind the scenes, this show was pure gold.
Notable Cast: Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones, later Ashton Kutcher.
The chemistry between Charlie and Alan was insane. It gave us that perfect mix of adult humor, family mess, and real bro moments (plus Berta always kept it real).
2. How I Met Your Mother (2005 — 2014)
The storytelling in this one was different — smart, emotional, and hilarious.Notable Cast: Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan.
Barney Stinson? Legendary. Robin? Problem. The twist at the end? Yeah, still not over it.
3. Friends (1994 — 2004)
The OG of friendship sitcoms. You already know.Notable Cast: Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer.
It gave us iconic quotes, relatable struggles, and that Ross & Rachel tension that basically defined ‘90s TV.
4. The Big Bang Theory (2007 — 2019)
Nerd culture meets mainstream comedy — and it worked like crazy.Notable Cast: Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik.
Sheldon Cooper? Icon. The evolution of these characters over the seasons was actually dope to watch.
5. The Neighborhood (2018 — present)
Modern, funny, and sometimes even deeper than expected.Notable Cast: Cedric the Entertainer, Max Greenfield, Tichina Arnold, Beth Behrs.
It tackles race, culture, and community with jokes that land — and moments that hit. Cedric still got it!
What are your Top 5? Agree or think I’m bugging? Let me know in the comments.
More entertainment takes coming soon.
For Empress, always.
